Scott Foil - How to mount SRM magnet?

FWIW, I've found the best solution on a wide variety of carbon, aluminum and steel frames is to hot glue the SRM magnets or sensors to the frame. In the case of the BB mount style magnets/sensors I cut off most or all of the slotted mounting tab and just hot glue the important part in the correct position. The hot glue can be peeled off at a later date if you wish to remove the magnet without marring the frame and the glue cools and solidifies quickly so there's no need to clamp or hold components still for a long time while something like epoxy cures (which would also be difficult if not impossible to remove in the future if necessary).

Tried this with my SRM magnet on my S5 (shop started with double-sided tape, but that flexed/moved and I was getting erratic readings), but the magnet came right off my frame, despite cleaning the frame very well before the hut glue was used. I also used the entire magnet, including all of the plastic base, hoping that the larger surface area would help keep the magnet secured. Lasted just under 100 miles.

I'm probably going to try the double-sided tape route again, but then hot glue over it in order to better immobilize the magnet under the BB shell.
