I am currently looking for a new, or atleast a new used, road bike to replace my old Klein. It was too large for me and now I've got a chance to put down approximately $2K for a new one. I like the feel of a stiff, racing road bike as opposed to a touring bike. I don't race, not yet at least, but I want a bike that handles like a racing bike. I've looked on line and there are several different that I like. I've seen most of the big names, but some I haven't heard of like Viner, Felt, Pegoretti, etc. Is there any value in considering one of these over a lower-priced big name bike of equal value? Constructive help would be appreciated...
