Just a reminder to all of you that may be doing the STP this weekend, Washington and Oregon use
different units of measure. In Washington we use the US Survey foot (1 meter = 39.37 inches whereas
Oregon uses the International Survey Foot (Damn those Frogs and their metric equivalencies) where 1
inch = 25.4 mm.

If my math has not been affected by the Paisano this makes a difference of about 3mm per mile.
Please make certain that you make this correction when you pass the thalweg (deepest part of the
channel) of the Columbia River.

I would hate to think that you might report an incorrect mileage total for the ride.

2 days 205 miles. I will post my comments after the ride. (First year being bent. Last 2 Years being
on the DF side)
