Do you have room for a second shed? You could get something big enough to double up as a workshop for the same price.

I am in exactly the same boat. Although I have space for a garage I do not at present have the £6,000 needed to get one built. I've got 3 bikes (and want a fourth - can you ever have too many?) and need some space. I've got one in my garden shed, but because it's a wooden structure it is not covered by my home&contents insurance.

The bike-bin shown in the ScrewFix link looks like one possible solution, but I'd be worried about it all the same. What's the lid held down with, just a padlock? If you're going to store £2.5k worth of bikes in there I'd want more between them and a burglar than a £3.75 padlock :eek:

Ideally, I'd like an underground bunker that I could store my bikes in, complete with hydraulic lifting platform that'd take me to the surface - Thunderbird stylee!

This is the reason I'm not keen on using a shed - I have
space to add one for bikes but it needs to be a brick
structure for insurance purposes usually.

My thoughts were to bolt the thing to the back of the
house and fit something like
