Sorry - don't understand. These were badged as Cycle Response Units.
I saw two of them threading through th runners.

I also saw two motorised ambulances threading through the runners,
which I've never seen before. Guess some poor soual overdid things.
Hope they're OK.

St John Ambulance first aiders are not employees, they are volunteers. The
bikes are purely for use in connection with getting to a person in need of
first aid quickly, same as a cycling paramedic - a bike can get down a
narrow street or alleyway easier than a large ambulance.

I think that there has been about 8 people who have died running
previous London marathons. Considering the numbers who run it that it
a pretty good number.
