Sella nabbed for CERA

LOL. I believe that Cipo would gladly consider hara-kiri before admitting to viagra use... :D
If for one girl, we probably don't need viagra but for 3 or more, a little help can be necessary.:D

Sella names his source: the doctor's name is Enrico Lazzaro, already investigated for doping at the 2001 Giro. Apparently the drugs were sourced from a hospital in Serbia.

It also turns out the the Italian police had been investigating Sella for some time: they intercepted a Gerolsteiner rider's dad with a well known coach who was smuggling a syringe hidden in a toothpaste tube to his son at the Giro, with traces of Iutrelef (no, I do not know what it is, google it, but it's on the banned list). They then found 80 (yes, eighty) boxes of viagra at the coach's residence. Apparently the viagra was for, amongst others, a rider who is a good friend of Sella's. That got them on to him.

If these guys put more effort in to their riding - as they do in to their trafficking networks - perhaps, just perhaps, they might be better riders?

All of this nefarious duplicity trying to avoid detection must consume some amount of time/energy.

Makes you wonder what any of them actually know about cycling. What do they use for training manuals? DVDs of Miami Vice? No wonder they are concerned about radios being banned. The D.S.s have to keep reminding them they are in a race and not smuggling drugs across the border.

Didn't Sella tell his girlfriend that they'd get married if he won a stage at the Giro? I wonder what she thinks about being married to a liar and a cheat?

He has made a deal and will be back in a year or so on a million Euro contract, per annum. Not bad for a guy who has barely finished high school with no work experience or career prospects. Ergo, his sweetheart will most probably 'stand by her man' and overlook the liar and a cheat bit...

You are wrong about the actovegan though. Everyone knows it is not a PED. Just ask the Hog. Julian deFries uses it for his diabetes.
Acto isnt on the banned list, it has no use whatsoever as a PED, some people say it helps slightly with recovery but not much else.

Actovegin was used in combination with EPO... i don't recall if it were to counter some side-effect or not...

It is banned under the general prohibition on any drug designed (it's unclear whether Actovegin actually does anything at all) to manipulate the blood. IIRC, USPS started out their defense with "it's not on the banned list" and then it was pointed out that it was banned under the general rules. So they concocted that whole story about it being for the mechanic, who later testified at Armstrong's SCA trial that he was "forced" to be the fall guy by the USPS management.

The idea with Actovgin is that it makes your blood "Slippery" when you using EPO and it is running like sludge it is supposed to make it run through the veins easier.

But of course the only reason they needed 6 bags of it was becuase of Julian's diabeties
