selle san marco aspide tri gel positioning ?

i have just installed my new saddle and would like to pitch it a little more forward but i am at the
limits of the adjusting screws (bontrager non-offset post with micro adjusting screws). i think that
this could be solved by installing shims on the saddle rails. does anyone know if this is ok or have
any other suggestions?
