Dear mountainbiker,

This year, the Senior Games will be organized in September 2009 in the Dutch province Zeeland, and an estimated 3,000 athletes 50 years and older from all over Europe are expected to join.
Participants will compete during this Multi-sport Event in no less than 21 major sports. This event is the first of its kind in Europe, a unique opportunity for the Netherlands.

Mountainbike is one of the main sports in the Senior Games 2009 program. Beneath one can find the specific information concerning the mountain bike competition. At request of many mountain bikers, the program has been changed.

All components are for women and men. You may participate in the crosscountry race and the beach race, or in only one of the two components. At the website, you will see more about the program.

Registration is open to all license holders who are a member of the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI). Athletes need to be in possession of a valid license at the time of the event, obtained through the federation to which they belong, which clearly shows they belong at least to the Masters 50+ category. If you are not in the possession of a 2009 license, the 2009 Senior Games organization will furnish day licenses on site.

Crosscountry race Burgh-Haamstede, Westerschouwen
