Serviceability of carbon frames

They uses metal threaded inserts. Find somethng else to worry about.

I've been riding a Look 386 for the last 2 years. Can't say I've had to remove the bottom bracket repeatedly.😕

I got a '99 Trek OCLV 5200 this past Spring and did quite a bit of research before I took that plunge. In the end, I felt good about the purchase when I made it. ...and now, between me and the previous owner, this thing has some serious milage on it and it seems to be holding up just fine. I've been down on it a couple of times and it seems unbothered. I mean, TdF riders are putting more miles on their carbon-framed bikes in a single race than most "social" riders do in a season (OK, so they get half-a-dozon new ones next year, but you get my point)....I know I'm not putting the kind of stresses on my frame that they put on theirs. It's a great ride when your bike weighs less than 20 lbs. If you can afford it, let your fitness limit your ride, not your bike.

The metal threaded BB insert on my OCLV came unbonded after 12 years. But, they gave me a brand new frame when that happened, so who can complain?
