  1. I'm upgrading my HRM to a new Polar 725. I've read the manual from
front to back several times and have not found a way to set the
Odometer? With my older Xtrainer Pro, manually setting the odometer
was possible. Am I missing something, or am I the only one vain enough
to want to see my annual milage on a single computer?

    Thanks in advance,

    ....Mark

First of all, I have the 720, not the 725. Your Polar model may be
    different in this respect.

I can set the odometer using a PC connected to the Polar via the IR
interface. The PC software lets you set the mileage, but then you
have to reset the Polar. There's a little recessed switch between
the two buttons on the right side of the watch. Pressing this will a
ballpoint pen will reset the Polar. Once you have reset, you must
manually set the date and time again.

It's a bit of a pain, but it can be done.

Thank you for the response. With the exception of some Nokia phone
feature, I think the 720i and 725 are functionally equivalent.
Although I don't yet have an Ir Interface on my PC, I do see the
relevant option in the software. I hope to give it a try once I get
    the necessary hardware.

    Thanks again for your assistance.
