Thx for the tips wackydeirdre. Are you an attorney by chance? hehe.
I think Ill try your approach next time and see if I have better luck.
I wish I could say I
were an attorney. I'd have lots of money. I'd also work for you Pro Bono. Sexisim always has really annoyed me and despite popular opinion it really does go both ways. I guess it just isn't as newsworthy for a guy not to be allowed in a salon as it is when a woman is hit on by her boss. I feel it's comperable to African Americans not being allowed to sit in the same restaurant as whites though, don't you?. You can use that line if you need to by the way. I have had many unfortunate dealings with courts, lawyers, etc. thanks to my ex - husband though. I also was a paralegal for some time also so I guess I've learned the ropes along the way. I hope things work out for you and you get some waxing soon. It feels so much better once it's done (when done properly) and won't grow back for a while. A word of advice though, as much as you'll hate this, let your hair grow in as much as possible prior to your waxing so the hair lifts out nicely and takes a while to grow back for a while and you get your money's worth out of it. Also use a Buff Puff on your legs when it begins to grow back in to avoid ingrown hair.
Now to completely change topic, what's it like in the South Pole and where do you cycle? Do you have nice paths there? I suppose winter cycling doesn't go on for long. Last winter I had to stop cycling in early January I did Pilates to keep in shape but didn't at all enjoy and really didn't get started again until some time in March because we had about a foot of snow on the ground the whole time. then lots of rain which wouldnt normally bother me but the roads were really sloppy. I had to deal with tons of sand when I started again which made things pretty difficult and sort of made a mess of my gears. You must have to clean them all of the time yourself, what exactly do you do for maintenance? Do you have lots of sand on the roads? I'm going to have to change my brake pads soon as I have a road bike and was constantly brakeing so I wouldnt be falling off my bike. I also was getting used to clipless pedals at the time. The first time I rode with them I forgot to unclip my shoe in time when I stopped in my driveway and fell over flat on my good leg. I wrecked my other leg in a skiing accident and it doesn't have a very good range of motion. I landed on my lawn which was good since I didn't get hurt but I was lying there stuck to my pedals and so embarassed. I felt so stupid, but I couldnt stop laughing thinking about what I must have looked like. Finally, I got my leg out of my pedal using both arms and managed to get up. Pretty goofy, huh? Take care, write back soon.
