Hey i just bought a wheelset from my local bike dealer, which is a shimano r560 (105 wheelset series). i was wondering if anyone could tell me here if that is a good upgrade from a sun rim m13? the shimano has 16/20 spokes on the front / rear and it is lighter, the sun rim has about 36.
also the sun rim came with my giant ocr3 (2002 model (sport)) and the rims are supposed to be basic.

Shimano wheels you bought will be a little more aerodynamic.
It must have been a short-lived series. Bikes are still specced with 550s and now new bikes have 561s.
from what it seems, the 561's are not sold in North America except on a manufactured bicycle. Look up Shimanos website for both North America and for the EU. THey're findable in Europe, but not on our shores.
the listed weight is 20g more than the 560's. Also, it appears taht the 560's are sold as wh-r5600, but the have a lower weight than the NA spec r560's.
