Hi,
After reading a few posts here I realise that I am beneath even the novices here. I hope that somebody can still help me out!
I recently got a second hand road bike from ebay, a peugeot. Cant tell you the model or age or anything like that. It came fitted with Shimano RX100 components. I have a problem with the crank arm on the side with the cogs (please excuse my lack of understanding with the technical info!) the pedal has worked loose and trashed the thread, and now the pedal slides in and out of the crank arm - not good! After searching for a replacement part I have discovered that it is somewhat old kit and hard to find.
What I am looking for is a suitable replacement. I am not an expert, and am only cycling to work and back at present, however i do hope to get into it a little more. I have read about the Shimano 105? Is this the next model? I dont want to spend a lot of money. Another thing i realise that there are many different center hole types (a square one amongst others) can anybody help me out with any other brand that may be suitable?
Thanks a lot in advance hoping somebody can help me!
Regards,
Dom
