Shimano tandem hub 7 to 8 speed upgrade

i have a 48 spoke shimano FH-HF05 tandem rear hub with a 7 speed cassette.
I would like to upgrade it to an 8 speed cassette. Is this possible and what type
of freehub body I would need to buy to do this?

Easiest fix is to run a shortened 9-speed cassette. That'll fit right into your current FH body. Remove one sprocket and you're done.
Needs a 9-speed or a Friction shifter to run clean.
