I will have my local bike shop pack it for me but was wondering what other people have paid to ship their bike.

I've heard anywhere from $50-$75, just depends on how you plan on shipping it down there. I've just heard this from people I ride with, so in no way am I an expert.

I've found it varies greatly based on box size. Be careful with UPS and their oversize surcharges. I needed to ship a 23" frame Bridgestone from DC to WI and rather than pay the 100+ using UPS I had went with FedEx for $34. I think anything between 30 and 50 is a reasonable expectation if you try and fit to the smallest box.

I just shipped a Lemond from AZ to NY for 75.xx with insurance via UPS. The box weighed about 26lbs and was like 58 x 28 x 8 I believe
