Shock news: Armstrong dodges his own drug testers !

I for one am glad that Armstrong is the only one that dopes. Can you imagine the carnage if the other cylists started taking drugs too?

What?

Oh.

****.

So why don't we hate them as much?

Probably because they try not to be arrogant bastards that parade their wealth and girlfriends in the media, they dont give ueber-hypocritical interviews, they dont claim that they have performed miracles, dont insult their fellow athletes along with the public's intelligence, dont write a book and a sequel to sell their lie and make even more money, dont coauthor books of their, supposed, trainer when their training has been planned and supervised by someone else, they dont "donate" money to UCI, they dont pay people to read everything from daily newspapers to internet blogs and threaten those that write things they dont like... I could go on and on on...
Its just so sad really. He could have stayed retired and enjoy his life, he could have even returned without the bruhaha, the grandiose statements, just say that he will ride for fun and not for the win, avoid all the leadership ********, ride the Tour quietly, speak about cancer finish 121st and prove that "It's not about the bike"... Instead... Whatever... I am done with the guy...

That was about as well balanced as an elephant on a bowling ball...

Mostly I like the way Lance is responsible for the media frenzy around his come back. His fault entriely of course that the media hound him

The detractors will read anything that contains the word "Lance" creating even bigger media hype which of course gives you the opportunity to moan about it - all rather handy really - your very own self fulfilling prophecy.

Very well said. However I read some other cycling news websites and I see the comments on there and it makes me sick. There are people even after everything you state who would love nothing more than see Astana smash the entire field at next years Tour. Where is the fun in that ? or perhaps by that next year Armstrong would have built up enough anti-French sentiment to say he's doing it for the greater good of the foundation and proving the French wrong. Like you say. Whatever.

Astana have no guarantee that they will be invited and/or be allowed participate in the 2009 TDF.

Remember Astana were listed to start the 2006 TDF, 2007 TDF and 2008 TDF : and each time they were prevented from riding the TDF.

"They" don't, because they can't. Armstrong is the only one who has taken the time and effort to create a cult of personality that offends you so much, so he reaps the benefits with stunts like this. Thanks for playing along.

The sicker you get the better I like it.

I'll be having the time of my life if that happens. I'll mail you a puke bucket.

Are u at least getting paid by Lance or you just like the smell of his ****?
Oh and just for the record I am not playing along. I dont read his interviews, buy anything that has anything to do with him and if he is even slightly competitive I wont even watch the Tour. Just a couple of days before he announced his comeback I was planning on buying a Trek, the Madonne 5.1. I splashed the cash on an Orbea instead. You see, in contrast to you, I dont love Lance but I do love cycling and I wont have anything to do with someone who 's been its cancer.

Why don't they simply follow the trail of blood bags and syringes?

Ho hum -- so we're going to go scatological right off the bat? OK, I'll play:

No, but he did give me your mother's telephone number, and her **** smells great.

How's that?

I think a life devoted to compulsive avoidance of all things Armstrong is admirable. Really, I do.

Yes it was good interview. The last part which you mention Armstrong scowled at the interviewer and said: "Calm down. Its only cycling. ITS. ONLY. CYCLING". That’s when he looked at the perfect house, the 5 cars in the driveway and the riverview setting and thought: "No its not Lance".
Here is the CyclingWeekly version of the interview:

My fav:

Why have so many ex-US Postal riders tested positive or admitted doping retrospectively?

I don't know. We're not in charge of them when they leave. They never tested positive under our guidance.

- Note: They never tested positive not "they didn't dope".

The answer was phrased pursuant to the question:

Q: Why have so many ex-US Postal riders tested positive . . . .?
A: They never tested positive under our guidance.

So after the classic high school "mum" insult you come up with another classic "douchebag". Excellent, so the things we know about you is that your are 16yr old (or never matured beyond that), completely devoid of imagination and intelligence. Oh my God you are Lance Armstrong.

No, but they did admit to doping while under your guidance. See Swart, Stephen, Andreu, Frankie, and a third, anonymous (probably Vaughters) rider.

Sorry am I missing something? Numerous ****ing cyclists dope, has doped and will dope. Numerous major sports men dope, have doped or will dope.

Armstrong gets alot of unsubstantiated **** mainly from the journalists. This cyclist made a clear decision to win le Tour and then went on to win 6 more. This is an absolutely great achievement and very ego bulging but also worth bragging about.

Sorry I become instantly more annoyed by cyclists such as Cadel Evans who just tries to disappoint or Vinokourov who with a larger budget than Armstrong and Postal decides; rather than finish le Tour quietly come back the following year and possibly win, ignores all advice of his team specialist doctors and ****-blood transfuses, jeapordising the sport further for no chance of getting away with it.

Another cyclist that annoys is Greg Lemond, one who could promote his career and other great cycling feats rather than whinign about a matter that is a complete waste of his time.

This year's Giro will be amazing with Basso, Armstrong, Sastre and Contador all slugging it out without mentioning what Team Riis will do. The Tour will be superb especially the team timetrial battle between Astana, Slipstream and Colombia.

Armstrong is back and will dope like any other top cyclists!
