I need new shoes. I ride with a full, cycling specific orthotic made by Scott Peterson. My current shoes are Northwaves, but I don't like the fit of the forefoot. I have a narow heel however and the Northwave Evolution has a GREAT heel pocket that prevents heel lift even with the orthotic. My old Sidis aren't stiff enough. Plus, they don't have great heel retention. Otherwise fitwise they are fine. Diadora Veloces allow too much heel lift with the orthotic. I live in a fairly remote area and can't try on every brand. So, here's the question: What has reasonable forefoot roon and a great heel pocket? DMT? Nike? Help!! Thanks. M
Try Carnacs. They're fairly wide in the forefoot. All the Nikes I've used have not been that wide, but I gave up on them a number of years ago, so maybe things have changed.
