yeah i went to cali because i have family there and now a great deal of dear friends also.

we also stayed 5 nights in Vegas, two nights in Flagstaff, Arizona as a base for exploring the Grand Canyon, and Sedona and then a few nights in Phoenix,
2 days in disneyland resort and a day at Hollywood Universal.

it was great, what an amazing country.

glad to be home though...some decent tea and a comfy bed.

i'll post some photos soon on my website if anyone is bored enough to wader by...

pity i didnt get any biking done...none of my friends there were bikers unfortunately.

Glad you enjoyed yourself. This country does has a wide disparity in geological strata, especially the area you visited. We do often-times have differing view's, in the soapbox, but I enjoy reading your rant's...errr...post's 😉

OLN is part of any basic cable T.V. package so most of us have access to the Tour coverage. I'm glad that you enjoyed you visit,and was especially gratified that you made it to Flagstaff, The Canyon, and Sedona. Next time give more advanced notice on your trip so we can help line up some bicycle equipment/ rides.(I'm sure that when you were in Sedona you would have loved having a MT bike)

Glad you had a great time Pro...The Southwest is my favorite place...There is a tranquil peaceful beauty about a scenic desert that if it captures your heart and imagination you will never be able to let it go...atleast that is how it affected me the first time I saw true purple mountains in the early morning hours during a drive from Palm Springs to Vegas...

the mountains near Las Vegas are very beautiful...best seen at 6 am like you say...you never get to see that on TV much...

have you ever tried the rides at the top of the Stratosphere?....the catapult one is especialy frightening....

yeah, i thought Arizona was all desert...it is stunning with all the pine trees up near Sedona. We went swimming in the slip rock canyon, took some amazing photos. I would love to of had my bike with me but the temp on that day was 40C, far far too hot for me to walk never mind cycle.

The Grand Canyon is simply amazing....it is possibly the most breath-taking sight i have ever seen...

Tea? You mean like Snapple? You guys really like that stuff? You can get that here in the stores near trailer parks. Or are you talking about that stuff the chicks drink?... camelmeal or something like that.

The Grand Canyon is an OK tourist spot, but Alcatraz is one you'll never forget.

over here you can get hundreds of varieties of tea, just depends on your taste. Its best served hot with milk and sugar. None of that cold [censored] in bottles with lemon...

the Grand Canyon is OK?...i think youve grown too used to it.

I'll be in SF next summer and i'll be sure to visit Alcatraz when i am there...(i'll practice my sprinting and political acumen)

Scotland does have a "plethora" of hills/mountains so it is a good training ground, no 😕

Snapple, I believe, was the first brewed, readily available, iced tea in America.
I like it. You can taste the diff. between "brewed" & "instant" tea's. Do you drink "iced" tea over there 😕 It gets "bloody hot" over here so, thats the way most like it prepared.

we get Lipton and Nestle both in powder and bottled form. My wife and daugter loves the Lipton Lemon Ice Tea.

I still cant get into drinking cold tea.

I dont know if they are brewed or instant. The bottles dont specify.
