  1. Hello again helpers!!!

I need to buy grease for my bicycle. Here in Argentina I found different greases such as Graffite, Lithium, yellow grease (I guess this is the standard grease) and silicone grease (which is white). I don't know which one to take home. Someone told me never use graffite grease on the bike.

I want to buy a grease useful for different things such as: brakes and gears cables, seatpost, headset and also to grease those things where the V-brakes attach the frame (I don't remember its name right now), etc. ¿Is it ok to buy Silicone grease? Any suggestions will be very welcome.

To lubricate the chain and some other parts I use Motorex 2000 Spray lube which works fine for me.

    Thanks in advance,
    Hermann.-
Note: I also posted this thread in BikeForums.

  2. I've switched over to using marine grease for hub and headset bearings. It's cheap and it's good at repelling water.

I don't use spray on lubes for my chain because the only places that needs lube on a chain are the rollers. 1 drop per roller should do the trick. Any extra just attracts dirt.
