  1. Between Googling and MTB Review, it's looking like Surly's Singulator v1.x works
    ok....and the push-up mode is appealing... But it sounds like the
    materials/design are kind of cheesey.

    Anybody know if they've upgraded it?

    How about Paul's Melvin? Anybody using one on an FS?

    I've been using Rohloff's and they're Ok except for a broken spring after about
    5k miles... but I'd like to try something different on the next bike.

    Never used the Melvin. Consider the Convert, though:
