Smokeless Tobacco/ Risk Reduction

Discussion in 'Health and medical' started by Daniel L. Lurke, Mar 12, 2004.

  1. There has been some evidence that individuals who switch
from cigarette smoking to smokeless tobacco products
substantially decrease their risk of mortality.
Specifically, while there is still a risk of developing oral
cancer, the risk of developing lung cancer decreases
considerably. Has anyone known anyone who has embraced this
strategy? I am curious about personal experiences, as well
as general reactions to the concept.
