Softride Owners Group

The purpose of this group is for Softride owners to get together to
ride, share knowledge and general information. As we know, Softride
Bikes are most likely the least accepted and most ridiculed bicycle out

there. While we do often gather interest from other riders, many
purists and cycling organizations will hold a hand up to stop us from
participating in events if possible.

The big misconception among cyclists is that Softride's are for Tri
events only. Nothing could be farther from the truth. Those that have

never riden a Softride on a long bike tour will never know the pleasure

of a back or butt that doesn't ache after such a ride. Though Softride

is out of the Mountain Bike market (for now), I still ride a Softride
Mountain Bike and I love it.

Most events that I have particapated in are barren of Softride's except

for mine. Perhaps other Softride owners do not know of these events or

don't wish to ride alone. That doesn't have to be any longer.

Although this comes from the lowly state of New Jersey, I'm sure this
can be
an outlet for Softride owners everywhere as a place to hook up with
other owners
and ride.

Let's be seen and let's get together and ride.

I own a Softride also and love it! I scored a Softride Solo from from ebay
and my father built me a very nice tri bike from it. I'm a big guy, 6-2,
210 and it is much better than a rigid frame bike, which I had previously.
I'm also from NJ and have really not found the disdain mentioned, but I'm
sure it's there. You see many more at triathlons than strictly bike events.
I have been searching around for a MB frame, as that would be nice too.
Good luck with the forum.
