I've recently got myself a road bike and clipless pedals for the first time about 2 months ago. I'm absolutly loving the new set up but I've become a bit concerned about the way the soles of my shoes are wearing. They are a pair of Nike T-speeds and what I'm finding is the carbon sole on my left foot seems to be wearing very quickly. I know I probably don't walk in them properly yet and I also tend to unclip my left foot when needing to stop at traffic lights etc. What I'm wondering is if there are any tricks to reducing wear here or even if this is normal? I've been trying to think of something I could put on the sole, especially on the toe and heel were the wear is worst, that could protect them, something like a silicon layer. Does anyone have any suggestions experience with this problem?

3M rubber stair/shoe tread. Not elegant but it works.
A mate of mine recommends using a two part epoxy such as araldite. This is a rather permanent solution as I would think once on there would be no way of getting it off again without damaging the shoe. Has anyone tried soemthing like this? Does it work?
