Something missing today

It's April 1st, and something is missing... The annual ShelBroCo new product
posting. With the passing of Sheldon Brown, a multi-year tradition has
ended. Who can forget the Tork-Grip, Carrababy, or the "Real Man" saddles?
Sheldon always had some goofy product announcement, with an exorbitant
price, to entertain us on April 1st. It was something to look forward to,
at least for me.

For those of you who aren't familiar with the ShelBroCo products that were
announced on April 1st, go here:

RIP Sheldon...

Indeed; I knew there would not be an entry this year, and it made me
slow to drop in. I admit that I had entertained the notion of putting
together one of my own...but just couldn't come up with anything that
was worthy. The memory of pranks past will have to serve for now;
perhaps next year one of us may be able to present a suitable faux
product that would be able to honor the memory. It will be hard to
find the equal of the Real Man Saddle and the Tork-Grip. Or even my
personal best to date, Pancake Whiz[1], for that matter.

[1] Not exactly a faux product. Someone at a party was describing a
real product that a friend was using, consisting of pancake batter in
a pressurized can, and I responded with "What, Pancake Whiz?" The
name stuck, at least among that small circle. The real product's name
is "Batter Blaster", which is nearly as silly but not as cheesily
evocative.

I still miss Sheldon's presence.

Typoes are not a bug, they're a feature.
Words processed in a facility that contains nuts.

Yeah, I've been kinda dreading this day. I always looked forward to
Sheldon's latest April 1st "invention", and its absence this year is a
reminder of our biking community's loss.
