SON repair

If it helps (if perhaps the design has changed over the years), the
dynamo would probably have been manufactured in 2000 (I took delivery of
the bike, with dynamo fitted, in January 2001).

day one

plugs are standard automotive plugs (4.8mm) as uses to connect speakers
etc. Should be available at anything vaguely automotive.
Most plugs will be the type with a plastic sleeve which you can crimp on
with pliers. Of course the SON plugs will be a bit better, but you need
a special crimping tool or a soldering iron.

A aluminium coloured plug will be better than an uncoated brass one
