  1. Went for a blast around some of the trails around Haldon, Exeter (UK) today.
It's been pissing it down for the last week on and off and today was no
exception so it was bloody slippery but makes me feel like a kid again
getting all muddy and stuff. Great fun!

I was riding this trail that goes diagonally through a fur plantation across
the ruts and coming over the top of one the front wheel washed out. I was
about to bail so feet were off the pedals but then the front wheel hit the
rise of the next line of trees and I landed full weight bollocks first on
the top tube!! Hurt quite a bit. Just glad no one else was around to see me
with my hands down my pants checking things were all still there. Did at
least 2 recounts just to be sure >:/ I'm all for wearing a helmet but I
think someone needs to design a MTB plum protector!

Think I might just go and have another recount. Can't be too safe.
