Was a bit hung over Yesterday morning at a mate's house and watching some Christian programme. They had a phone in about whether people should reconsider flying abroad because of the terrible effects on the environment from air travel. One person contacted the show with the opinion that people go abroad because they don't want to drive in this country due to the congestion and speed cameras. Hmmmm. So what speed would Jesus drive?
On a similar note, was in Inverness recently on business and chatting to a local who was ranting about how the high price of petrol was destroying the tourist industry. Apparently the Dutch who drive over to England are so staggered by the price of petrol that they never make it north of the border.
According to the AA, petrol is cheaper here than in Holland.
