Nice weather today (not _too_ hot) so I thought it would be a good chance to go out and smash up a
    bike or two 8-(

My off-roader (Ti Habanero frame, girder fork on the front) and I decided to do a nose plant into a
tree. I'll heal, but I think I've bust a damper on my fork. It's a bit of a retro build (silver
5-spoke XTR and a non-V canti at the back) and the fork is an AMP F3. Loads of CNC'ed bits at the
top, two skinny alloy legs and a tiny malnourished oil damper bolted on the side as an
afterthought.. Fortunately I fitted twin dampers years ago, when I built it, so I still had some

Any source for elderly AMP spares ? Preferably Bristol ? Or am I reduced to turning a new one up ?

I still managed to race teenage triple-crown boy down hill to Duchess Pond afterwards, but I think
middle-aged lard gives me a weight advantage for DH. I'd definitely lost damping at that point !
