A couple of months ago someone ran a trolley into my spine (accidently) while I was shopping in a supermarket. I felt the metal hitting a vertabra, but there wasn't much pain (none really). A couple of months on, I seem to be left with a tender area to the side of the backbone (noticed when pressing). When I bend forward, I feel some mild discomfort in the area - perhaps a spasm. In all other ways there is no problem.
I reacon the jarring has probably damaged a ligament or tendon, which will probably right itself in time.

What does the orthopedic surgeon say? It could be anything from a bone chip to a spinal tumor.
