SPD pedal maintainence

So, I have 515s stock on my bike. I dabbed some motor oil on the top plate and in the springs.
They clipped in and released beautifully. I knew it would get dirt stuck to it, but not as fast as
it happened.

So I've got to degrease, but what lubricant should I use from now on? I read an old NG post about
Mr. Clean not sticking to dirt. Does Pledge do a good job of lubing w/o attracting? My LBS uses that
for general cleaning.

Chain wax good?
