I LIKE this. (Eighty-six the engine though.)
I've been toying with the idea of stripping and repainting WinterBeater. This
pic has inspired me to look for paint that approximates A.F. flight line yellow.

Found at <alt.binaries.pictures.military>
OP wanted to know its age.

It's modern. The engine is a common Chinese-made conversion setup,
and the rest of the bike is a fairly common cruiser repainted to look
like something period-appropriate. Note that the "Flight Line"
placard is hose-clamped to the frame. There are a number of tipoffs
that the bike is modern.

I believe it's at one of the Commemorative Air Force club hangars.

Sweet moped.

I'd like one.

Now see, JFT, /that/ is a binary attachment.

There are two clues to its age...1, it was taken before the US Air Force
was formed (because the bike says US Army Air Force), and 2, It is a
color image. The first color came in just about mid WW2, and the Air
Force was formed just after WW2. I would make it to be from about 1945.

Look at the automobiles in the background; the photo is very recent.
Then look at the front hub, the chain, the speedo, the non-leather
seat...

It's effectively a stage prop. The CAF guys like this sort of thing.
There are so many bikes like this on the market at the moment that
it's hard to peg exactly which one it might be, but rest assured that
the paint job is homebrew, applied to make the bike look like it
belongs with the rest of the stuff in the hangar.
