Specialized Allez Elite v Giant Defy 2

Hi guys first post!

I'm really just wondering what Sora brakes are like v the Tiagra brakes, I've narrowed my choice of road bikes down to between the Specialized Allez Elite or the Giant Defy 2, both felt really good to sit on and are a really nice fit but both have exactly the same spec apart from the brakes, the Allez has Tiagra and the Defy Sora, as I said I can source the Giant from my LBS up the road but the Specialized I either have to get delivered, so extra cost or have to go out of my way to pickup, I loved both and really just picking between spec now,
I was thinking about getting the Giant if there isn't much difference in brakes and then upgrading them maybe to 105's later on.

Just my opionion, but why not go for the Defy 1. It already has 105 everything. Way better componets for maybe $ 250.00 over a Defy2. By the way, Bicycling mangazine picked the Defy 2 as best entry level bike.
