I've had some achilles problems in the past; I changed footbeds to solve part of the problem. I first used Superfeet, which worked okay for a while but developed a "flat" spot in the forefoot area after about 5 months. For grins, I switched to the new Specialized footbed about six weeks ago. After getting measured on the foot-o-meter thing, I was judged to be in need of the medium (blue) inserts. They felt good from the start on the bike, and they still feel good while riding. However, I have this killer arch pain every morning when I get out of bed and intermittently throughout the day. I had the same experience after I began using the Superfeet, but the pain resolved after about 2 weeks. I am now 1.5 months into it, and the pain has not subsided. I would have switched to the flatter "red" footbeds long ago but for the fact that these blue inserts feel so good on the bike. Any thoughts?
