I've just ordered myself a new Spesh Langster for my daily commuter, its light, geared for the flat and should be pretty much maintenance free other than the basics (its a single speed).

Does anyone here have one and will it be fine for a 25 mile daily commute over pretty much flat ground each way (it was pretty much a spur of the moment order).

Once you get used to the single-speed, you should have no problem...Nice bike by the way!

Agreed...that's what I have been using for a daily commute of about 21 miles. Depending upon the specifics of your route, and what you are looking for from your bike, you might want to experiment with some different gearing choices.

That's no big deal though. Half the fun of going to a single speed or fixed is experimenting and dialing it in to what is comfortable for you. Cogs are cheap.

As my buddy put it-the langster comes with the chicken gear as well LOL. Its on my long term wish list as well.
