Speed Play X series

I have speed play pedals. I've had the same set since about 2002. Does anyone know if the cleats can where out. I purchased new shoes last year when I started to feel the pedal on the bottom of my food. Even with the new shoes I'm still having that issue. Mainly on my dominate leg.. Any thoughts?

Sure the cleats wear out. Go see yer LBS and get a new set of cleats.
