Hi guys,
I'm looking at building up a new light-ish wheelset, but is having trouble deciding on spoke count.
Last pair was 36H rear and 32H front, which held up really well.
Finding 32H stuff is easy, but the color/weight range I'm looking at doesn't seem to have any 36H.

Question is, dare I go to a 28H front?

Given the number of 32H factory builds that are sold the odds seems good that the rear would hold up.
And if a 32H rear is strong enough then shouldn't a 28H front be OK?

Sure, I could go to 32/32, but I rather like having a rear that's stronger than the front. Call it engineering symmetry if you wish.
It'll probably be a 2X/3X build with either DT or notubes ZTR rims. DT comp for the front and comp/rev for the rear.
It'll go on a HT bike used for XC "only". I don't think I'll ever done a drop higher than a foot. Weight given is incl. kit.

Cheers
