At present I am reading a book by Dr. Saul Miller and Peggy Mass Hill. Some of the concepts seem pretty far fetched to me. Has anyone out there read any good books on this subject? What have you learned, are any of the concepts really out there, which ones have helped you most?
Thanks

In practice most sport psychs spend their time managing/slightly modifying situations and making sure that the environment, etc. is suitable for training and competition. Its not very often that a psych will actualy apply an intervention or change training drasticaly.

Most sport psych tends to be 'way out' or just common sense.

The stuff on computational and ecological approaches to motor control are very interesting.
