Hey I was wondering if anyone here has experienced squeakiness when they use the brakes, whenever I'm going pretty fast and I engage the back brakes, they always make this annoying squeaky noise which drives me nuts. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated. Thanks!

You may also have a little grease or oil on the rim. Try wiping it off with metho or something similar

Then replace the pads with Kool-stops.

If not that, at least use a flat file and lightly file down your existing pads. They can become "glazed," especially if you haven't ridden much lately.

Whatever you do, get rid of the squealing . . . or get used to riding alone ;)

Though I agree with your reply, because the OP asked the question that he did, I'm going to go out on a limb and assume that he may not know how to do this.

    If so, CLICK HERE

I'm going even farther out on the limb and assume that since it's been almost two years since he inquired and hasn't posted anything since; that either:

    1) They fixed the problem
    2) Gave up cycling
    3) Was abducted by aliens
    or
    4) Couldn't take the sqeaking anymore and shot him/herself in the head.
    (sorry I couldn't resist!)
    :p

CRAP! I missed that! Sucks to be both visually impaired AND stupid . . . and I don't know which one's at play here ;)
