I am wondering if anyone has the SRAM dual drive on their touring bike?
I already have the dual drive 24 on one of my bikes and like how smooth it shifts so I would use it on the new bike. I was thinking if I purchase a trek 520 touring bike I would switch to the dual drive 24 instead of the triple crank and front deralliur that comes on it. My question is
1. Is this a good idea or should I just leave things as is and get the smaller 22/32/44 chainring set up on the bike?
2. What size front chainring would I need to have proper gearing on the bike I switch to the dual drive?
I have noticed on other bikes with the dual drive they have a 32 or 33 teeth front ring.
-Any feedback comments or experience would be appreciated.
