Stage 17 dissapoints once again

Marking on a climb is not exactly wheel-sucking. Contador, like Schleck, is in the business of winning bike races. His ride on Stage 17 was exactly as it should have been. He wasn't able to put distance into Schleck when he did attack, and Schleck wasn't able to drop him. What else do you want?

What Contador did was text book tactics being in the position he is in. Anything else would have been foolish.. The video of the climb could be used as a training video for matching your opponents moves.The stage had eveything you could want, attacks, pursuit, pain, suffering, well thought out tactics and sheep.

The sheep actually made it on the local news here....but, nothing else about the TDF.

Cameron Diaz and Tom Cruise were at the race today and got some camara time, so we'll probably see them on our local news tomorrow....
