Stans tubeless substitutes

I know people are buying liquid latex at Hobby Lobby, but does anything need to be added or is it
straight from the container into the tire? Stans mix is supposed to be resistant to freezing, what
about the Hobby Lobby stuff? Also how are you guys making your valves to seal around the rim hole,
cut from old tubes? thanx, andy
