Hello all: I have a question, i bought a stionary-bike and i would like to know if 50% load level (level-4 out of 8 levels) is too heavy for aerobic-training? Or should i decrease it to a lighter level in order for me to get an aerobic endurance workout?

I would like to know your views on this, thanx all

I’d work with a heart rate monitor, and at 70% of your Max Heart Rate for extended periods to build an aerobic base, Read the thread “are we doing too much speed work” and the Hagg link

http://www.ffh.us/cn/hadd.htm

I would also do 3 x 10min aerobic threshold work with a couple minutes recovery between - on different days

Some 2min anaerobic threshold work - - on different days

And some MSLL training in 30min blocks.

I would most certainly get out on the road at least once a week and ride hills !!!
And get know what is too hard and what is too easy on the road work.

hello there, thanx a lot for your reply, I am working at a lower intensity (Level-3 out of 8 Levels) on my stationary bike, and i will train on the bicycle-park 2 times a week, and the other 3 or 4 times at home ;-)

thanx, have a merry christmas
