Im looking into buying a new stationary trainer as the winter is drawing in. I dont want to spend much, about £100, maybe stretching abit.

I'm not too fussed about any certain aspects of the trainer. Except where the trainer attaches to the rear axle, if there is a large tightening bolt thingy then I tend to hit my feet on them!

I've heard the tacx trainers are good, but I know essentially zero about them, or any other trainers.

Thanks in advance.

I have a Tacx Cycleforce Swing mag trainer and it is OK. I have a hard time morivating myself to ride more than an hour, however, since it is a pale excuse for the real thing.
That said if you can be dedicated to logging trainer miles it is a good investment. Being willing to spend about 100 pounds you probably could pick up the Tacx basic mag trainer. They seem to make a decent product.
