Steering Fork Column 4 aheadset conv

Nashbar, Bikeman and others sell 1" and 1.125" adapters- basically
these work like regular quill 1" stems but the bit above the headset
looks like the top of a threadless fork of the desired diameter. You
can keep your old fork, etc. Better to keep your old quill unless need
for one of oversize handlebars is driving you to threadless.

As long as it *is* brazed and it's not a unicrown design where the
steerer extends right down, yes.

Not really, although carbon forks are very cheap on *Bay.

As long as it's new. I would never buy a used carbon anything.
