My brother had his bike nicked from Curtin (back when it was WAIT) a good 15
years ago - perhaps longer. He recently got a call from the local cop shop
to say they had found his stolen bike. It was the one nicked all those years
ago!

Thanks Byron - if you're at Hyatt then I'm just up the road at DHW
(Plain/Hay). I'll see how I go on the weened and may ping you on
monday, depending.

On an aside, I think all the cables are stuffed, so I might just jury
rig it as an SS. For Perth commuting and western suburbs rec riding,
happy to take recomendations on ratio.

Cheers

yep, im across at the hyatt.

For a SS around perth i reckon anything 81.0 and under should be fine. I run a 48-16 which is fine for most parts, except for sharp steep little hills (ie Majestic Dve).

Thanks Byron. When faced with either just putting up with my 10 year
old steel MTB/slicks or creating a franken-bike, I really couldn't be
bothered with the latter. The MTB will be good exercise. I seem to be
able to cope with 28-29 kph average to keep up with my wife on a
roadie, so that'll do for a few weeks...

Cheers
