Quoted message said:Wait a second. Did Damnitall actually criticize YOUR posting
format?!?
No, I criticised "[email hidden]"'s posting format.
Ah. Since I can't see your original posts (except this time), no way to
tell.
Except by chasing up the thread tree after observing that Kyle doesn't
have excreable quoting.

Otherwise Usenet would have become quite impossible.
I still maintain that the vast majority of people use OE
Well, you're wrong, at least for posting. We don't know what lurkers use,
clearly.
This is not a matter of opinion, since OE leaves a clear footprint in the
headers of every article it generates.

mine; the bug is in your crappy newsreader.
why your posts are being stripped, then I take it all back.) The fact that
you are deliberately using a trick to make OE see your posts as attachments
doesn't make the newsreader crappy;
No. The fact that OE interprets a line starting "begin" followed by 2
spaces as an attachment makes the newsreader crappy.
Quoted message said:It's kind of like someone speaking Swahili at the U.N., but refusing to
allow interpreters.
Not in the least. The situation I'm in is like someone who speaks English,
but is confounded by the fact that some people insist on using
interpreters who faint every time they hear the word "frog". After a
while, one might start saying "frog" just for the hell of it, especially
if these interpreters are otherwise incompetent (which corresponds to the
stream of atrociously mangled articles from OE.)
