Success of Australia

Hi Friends.
I am trying to find the reason of Australia's sporting success, and after my observation I found that
They play well, they play often, they play to win and they play for their nation not themselves.
Australians have always loved sport.
What is your opinion about it ?

Detailed sociological stuff aside, I reckon it's mostly climate and 'culture', if I could use that word generally. The weather is great down here. Even in the southern-most cities the temp rarely dips below 50 degrees, even in the middle of winter.
