I am gearing up to do some long commuting what I am hoping is going to be a few times a week and need a good Pannier or set that could carry my mac laptop 15 inches and other stuff securely. I see that the Cog Pannier and the Arvtel seem highly recommended. I like the Cog cause it can also be converted to a hand carry bag.
My big question is that I used to have these old set of Cannondale Panniers that were really large and were great for camping or just good old touring in general. I still have them and this old rack called Godzilla and wonder if you have to get new racks to work with either these panniers.

as far as i know panniers and racks are most of the times interchangeable, no problem, but if you carry sensible stuff you need good quality and invest your money accordingly,
