I recently acquired an old (70s maybe?) Peugeot road bike which I've turned into a single-speed and want to get rid of the suicide/extension levers. I see no screws or nuts to remove and was wondering if anyone had some info on how to remove these? thanks

Try pressing on the lever slightly and use a flashlight to look into the gap that leaves between the lever and the lever body. I suspect that you'll see a screw in there, Loosen that screw and thw whole lever will slide off of the handlebar.

The screw was there but the suicide levers were machined to the brakes so I ended up using the hacksaw option to get them off. Thanks for the help.
