Superbe brake QR question

    One of my new brakes (CB-4000) has somewhat corroded QR internals.
    Upon disassembly, I find 3 flat steel washers that are somewhat
    corroded. My question is: do they belong here? The reason I ask is
    that they do not appear on the exploded diagram found on Andy Muzi's
    web page, http://www.yellowjersey.org/gc.html.
